I Interrupt This Shop Hop For A QBee Day!

It has been a long time since I posted pictures of our QBee days.  The QBees gather on Thursdays to piece, quilt, share ideas & fellowship.  On the first and third Thursdays, we sew late (7:30) and on all other Thursdays we finish up about 4:00 p.m.

This past Thursday was to be a late day, but I had to be at VBS by 5:30.  No worries, I left the studio in good hands and the QBees stayed until they wanted to go home.  When I got home at 8:45 p.m., they were gone :(

Here are some of the things we worked on yesterday!

Momma Barb cut strips and made binding for the quilt she left for me to quilt.

After that, she finished making the remaining 3 blocks for the body of her Snake River quilt.

All 64 blocks are now complete.  What to do next?  Sew the body together or have her start making the border blocks?  I think I'll let her decide.

Gladys brought two sewing machines.  She is working on different projects with each machine.  Here Gladys is working on a quilt for her oldest son, Earl.  First step in the checkerboard section.

The checkerboard looks really nice!
Gladys is sewing on her Bernette sewing machine.  I don't think sew got her other machine out!

Barbie was putting binding on a quilt for her daughter and somehow did the corners backwards.  She is un-sewing the binding.  I showed her a quicker way to do it.  RIP!  It may not be the most perfect way to do it, but since the sides of the quilt are sewn down, I wasn't afraid to do it.  Barbie got brave and finished the ripping :)

I was working on this I Spy.

When I pieced these vertical rows together, it was supposed to make a star.  My star is very elongated.  I don't know what I did wrong, but I see unsewing in my future.

I have fallen in love with shark fabrics!  My friend and her family are SHARK CRAZY so I made her daughter more pillowcases!!!

The top photo shows more the true color of this pillowcase.  I found this fabric at Fabric Shack on our QBees mini shop hop.

I found this fabric at Bunny's Sew Fine Fabrics !  Janey is going to love receiving these in the mail!!

I am going to work on getting the final shop hop stop up today.  I also have many photos of the quilts I have been quilting for clients!

It is a beautiful day in Ohio.  Just abuot 70 degrees, blue skies with huge white fluffy clouds and a slight breeze.  Is fall in the air?
Happy Sunday!
